Question: Whatʼs the difference between Pet Sitting and Boarding a pet?
Answer: Boarding a pet means removing the pet from its familiar surroundings to stay at a boarding facility. While there are some decent facilities out there, boarding can put undue stress on pets and there is potential for the petʼs health to be at risk (kennel cough, parasites, etc.). Pet Sitting is a superior option because pets stay in their own home and maintain their normal activity and feeding regimen. Peepers Pet Watch makes daily visits, as many times as needed, to care for pets entrusted to us.
Question: Do you take pets into your home?
Answer: No, we make daily visits to pets in their own home environment to walk, feed, water, administer medications, play, and cuddle them. Peepers Pet Watch is not licensed as a
boarding facility, nor do we want to be. Itʼs just so much better for pets to be in their familiar surroundings, sticking to their usual feeding schedule and exercise routine.
Question: Whatʼs the difference between Pet Sitting and Dog Walking?
Answer: With Peepers Pet Watch, Pet Sitting or Pet Visits provide a complete range of service like walking, feeding, watering, administering medications, playing, and cuddling. It can
also include basic home watch services like collecting mail/newspapers, turning lights on/off, opening/closing blinds, etc. Our Dog Walking service is usually a shorter visit primarily to allow dogs to relieve themselves when parents are working long hours.
Question: Besides travel, why else do people hire Peepers Pet Watch?
Answer: There are many situations when people need help with pet care including:
- professionals working long hours whose pets need mid-day breaks or medications
- people temporarily unable to care for their pets, after surgery, for example
- seniors who can no longer take pets for lengthy walks or to the dog park
- anyone who cannot find time in their busy schedule to get pets to appointments (grooming, vet, etc.)
- people who are ready for a professional pet sitter rather than relying on a friend or neighbor watch their pets
